Preston Godfrey secured a first-half hat trick and the Woodland boys soccer team secured a comfortable 7-3, home win over Cedartown on Wednesday.

Godfrey’s trio of goals and a strike from Miguel Hernandez capped a free-flowing opening half from the Wildcats. Three different players — Rene Vazquez, Dylan Ferguson and Kevin Moreno — scored one goal apiece in the second half to help Woodland wrap up the non-region win.

The Wildcats (3-4-2) host East Paulding on Friday in hopes of evening their Region 7-AAAAA record at 3-3.
