Santiago Nava is entering his 9th season coaching. He is a graduate from Dalton High School. While playing for Dalton, Nava won the Carter McCamy Scholarship which is a prestigious award given to one player who exemplifies leadership skills. After high school, he furthered his education by attending Dalton State for his bachelors and then Georgia Southern for his masters. Prior to coming to Woodland, he coached at Dalton Middle School for 5 years coaching the receivers, running backs, and quarterbacks along with OC duties. While coaching at the middle school, he helped the varsity team as an analyst for 4 years. In 2021, he was at Woodland High School coaching quarterbacks.

From 2022-23, Coach Nava would go to North Murray where he coached running backs, and the secondary. In 2022, they would break the school record for points scored in a season, along with players winning All-State/Region awards. This will be Coach Nava’s 2nd stint at Woodland as Offensive Coordinator and coaching the receivers. Go Cats!
