Coach Samantha Shields graduated from Union Grove High School in McDonough, Georgia. While in high school, she was a competition and football cheerleader. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia. Coach Shields is currently teaching at Mission Road Elementary. Coaching is something she has always wanted to get in to and she was so excited when she had the opportunity to join this amazing program came. She has been grateful to be coaching here for the last 6 years.

Coach Sam moved to Cartersville after meeting her husband Coach Nick Shields at the University of West Georgia. They have both planted their feet in the Woodland Community and spend majority of their free time between the gym or the football and baseball fields. Coach Sam and Coach Shields have two children Charleigh and Thomas. They act as our little program mascots and definitely love their lives as coaches’ kids. . She looks forward to this season and the years to come!
