Coach Rebecca Beard-Arndt graduated from Cartersville High School in 1994, where she competed in track and field for three years. After graduation, she joined the United States Army before attending Kennesaw State University. In 2008, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education with minors in Biology and Gerontology.

Coach Beard-Arndt began coaching at Woodland High School in 2011, with a primary focus on the pole vault. In 2020, she became the Head Coach of the Woodland Swim Program and the Head Girls Track Coach.

In addition to coaching, Coach Beard-Arndt is a CTAE teacher at Woodland High School, where she teaches Food Nutrition, Food for Life, Food Science, and Sports Nutrition. She is also the sponsor of the Food Club, serves as a representative on the Prom Committee and Wellness Committee, and is a certified CPR instructor.

Coach Beard-Arndt lives in Cartersville with her husband, Bill.
