Coach Nick Shields is beginning his 1st season with Woodland High School and his 1st season overall coaching the offensive line and inside linebackers. He is a 2014 graduate of Cartersville High School. During high school, Coach Shields volunteered at Cartersville Little League where he worked as an umpire. Coach Shields graduated from The University of West Georgia in 2018, where he majored in Special Education.
At college, he worked as an official and manager at UWG’s Intramural Program. Coach Shields lives with his girlfriend, Samantha Lindsey, and is the proud son of Tim and Lori Shields. He also has two brothers, Zachary Cockrell and Lance Shields.
