After taking several years off from previously coaching the squad, Mrs. Kilgo is excited to be able to coach basketball cheer again this year! She is in her 14th year of teaching healthcare science at Woodland and has been in education for 20 years, having taught radiology in the college setting for 6 years before becoming a Wildcat.

Mrs. Kilgo, the former Lori Knight, graduated from Coosa High School in Rome, GA where she was a 3-year varsity cheer letterman and served as captain for 2 years. During her high school cheerleading career, she was on both football and basketball squads. Her senior year, she was at the helm of the first squad from CHS to win the Coosa Valley Fair Cheer Competition 1989. Jacksonville State University was the site of NCA summer cheer camp during her high school cheerleading career. She was also Most School Spirit Senior Superlative for CHS class of 1990 and received Most Valuable Cheerleader 1989 and 1990. She also had the honor of representing her hometown of Cave Spring as Miss Cave Spring 1989.

As a Wildcat, Mrs. Kilgo is passionate about promoting school spirit in the Woodland community. She has two children that are WHS alumni and letterman in the sports of softball, basketball, soccer and baseball for their high school careers. Her youngest child is currently a student at WHS and participates in volleyball and cheerleading.

Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Georgia, Associate of Applied Science in Healthcare Occupations from Floyd College and a diploma in radiology from Coosa Valley Technical Institute. Prior to her teaching career, Mrs. Kilgo worked as a registered radiologic technologist and mammographer at several hospitals in Northwest Georgia.

Mrs. Kilgo lives in Euharlee with her husband of 25 years, Mike, and their three children. Jarrett (WHS 2015) and Jamison (WHS 2017) are both in college and Jaylee is a current Wildcat at WHS.
