My name is Janna Scheff and I was born and raised in Cartersville, Ga. I attended Cartersville City Schools up until my sophomore year when I transferred to Excel. During my softball career at Excel, we made it to the Elite Eight my junior year. After graduating high school, I went on to continue my education and softball career at Chattanooga State Community College and we won the NJCAA championship.

I transferred my sophomore year to Western Kentucky where I completed my academic and softball career. In 2013, we won the Sun Belt Conference Championship and in 2015 went on to win the Conference USA championship.

In 2016 I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from WKU, in 2021 I earned my Master’s degree from the University of West Georgia in Curriculum and Instruction and in 2023 earned my Specialists in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University. I have been teaching at Emerson Elementary since 2017 and I have been apart of the Wildcat Softball coaching staff since 2023.
