I started my career after graduating from Shorter College in social work. After seven years of being an investigator and child advocate in the juvenile court I began working full-time at the YMCA Rome Arsenal Soccer Club. Directing programs and coaching soccer full-time for 10 years. During that time I worked with the Floyd county schools and Rome city schools with after school programs and coached soccer at Rome Middle and Rome High School. I started full-time at Rome High School as a coach and remediation teacher in 2020.

In 2021 I moved to Arnuchee High School and began teaching science and coaching soccer with the Tribe. I have played and/or coached soccer going on 40 years. It’s fair to say that it’s been a lifelong obsession. I finished my masters degree in education this past spring and have thoroughly enjoyed teaching science these past few years. Science too has always been a love and fascination throughout my life, particularly physics and chemistry. I’m so excited and eager to get going in the highly respected and collaborative science department and soccer programs at Woodland high school.
