Coach Bensley graduated from Hillgrove High School in 2017 and from Berry College in 2022 where he majored in physics and secondary education and completed a year of student teaching at Rome High School. Coach Bensley has been teaching physics and physical science at Woodland since the Fall of 2022, he has also been the head girls cross country coach, and an assistant track coach since.

Coach Bensley competed in cross country and track throughout high school and college. His proudest accomplishment in the sport is being captain of the Berry teams that won the school’s first ever SAA cross country, and track titles during his senior year, while making All-Conference first team in both.
