Coach Andy Scott is a native of McMinnville, TN and a 1988 graduate of Warren County High School, where he played Baseball and Football. Coach Scott attended Memphis State and Middle Tennessee State University, where he played Football. Coach Scott has a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a Master’s degree in Exercise Science both from Middle Tennessee.

Coach Scott began his coaching career in 1993 at Warren County High School (TN), where he served as Special Teams Coordinator, Assistant Offensive Line and Assistant Outside LB’s Coach.  From 1994 to 1995 he was a Graduate Assistant at Middle Tennessee State University assisting with the Defensive Line. From 1996 to 1997 he coached the Defensive Line (96) and Defensive Backs (97) at Troup County High School (GA). Coach Scott then coached Offensive Line at Coffee County High School (GA) from 1998 to 2000. Moving to Perry High School (GA), Coach Scott held various positions from 2001-2009, including Defensive Coordinator, Linebackers Coach, Head Coach and Athletic Director.  He was the Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach at Walnut Grove High School (GA) in 2010.  In 2011, he was the Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach at Lee County High School (GA).  From 2012-2017 Coach Scott was the Head Football Coach at Kennesaw Mountain High School (GA), during his tenure he coached many positions including Defensive Backs, Linebackers, Quarterbacks and even served as his own Offensive Coordinator before moving over to be the Defensive Coordinator as well. From 2018-2020 Coach Scott was the Defensive Coordinator at Hiram High School (GA), serving as Linebacker Coach and Defensive Backs Coach.  From 2021-2023 Coach Scott was the Head Football Coach at LaFayette HS, while there Coach Scott served as Defensive Coordinator and coached Linebackers and Safties. 

Coach Scott and his Wife Claudia have been married for 30 years and have one son, Justin.
