Gordon Central 45, Woodland girls 27
Woodland hung with Gordon Central through the first half of Monday’s tournament game before the hosts pulled away for a 45-27 win.
Jordan Thompson knocked down a trio of 3-pointers, including two in the first quarter, for Woodland, which trailed 12-10 after one period.
Carli Clymer had all seven of her points in the second quarter, as the Wildcats were down just 20-17 at the break.
Despite four of Gracie Styles’ eight points coming after halftime, Woodland trailed 32-20 after three.
Next up for the Wildcats is LaFayette at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
